      The face of ‘austerity’ seems familiar across the world, I guess this is not getting a lot of coverage in the US mainstream, and as ever the rulers can always find thugs with batons to impose their will, especially with cuts and job losses who’s going to risk being fired by refusing to crack heads (answer- a principled person with character), its ugly.

        Well, these thugs wanted to crack student skulls because it was said students who force the government to yield to their demands after a two month university strike that closed the entire public university system. Of course, now they are trying to make even deeper cut backs and looking for a way to privatize the UPR (University of Puerto Rico), which they hate on principle since it has Puerto Rico as part of the title (these buffoons sold their collective souls to the “American Dream” a long time ago).

        The irony is that the UPR was created by the Americans as a teacher’s college, to help assimilate/destroy Puerto Rico into the Empire. It backfired spectacularly.
